Looking for something to do this weekend......Build your own Nixie tube clock!

Nixie tubes are old tech, essentially cold light bulbs. Looking a lot like the tubes you used to get in audio equipment, or if your a geeky musician then what you probably still have in your equipment, nixie tubes are also obsolete tech......or are they?

THEY ARE STILL WAY COOL!

Yeah........ I've been perving on these for a while now..... and so if any of you lovely folks out there is desperately trying to think of what to buy me, then this is it! You can get kits from £100 of the net but if you look carefully you can probably get your own kit together for about £50, (raiding Maplins and ebay etc...).

They come in all shapes and sizes and, I cant wait any longer, so heres some examples of the beauties.......

As you can see they can be built into almost anything and so come in an amazing array of different shapes, sizes and styles.

I could carry on googling these all day, but if you're as in love as I am you'll get on it yourself. Hopefully I've just given you a very lazy friday looking at shiny things on the internet!!!!!
