Manchester Parent Carer Network back up and running under the power of dedicated volunteers!

Some of you may have heard about the Manchester Parent Carer Network but if not then check out their website.

They were set up a few years ago with some government funding but unfortunately in 2012 Manchester City Council decided to form a new group, with some of the previous members. This left a lot of disillusioned Carers (and some just plain, really annoyed average people with a slight internest in the use of public money for helping the public), wondering why all this money had been spent and then all the good work, and positive change, discarded? Why did a project that seemed to be working need to be completely started again??!!!! WHY????..........To this we will never know the answer..........

Fortunately, there were some amongst those that started the original group who saw its massive potential!
  • They already had a website
  • They had a Promo Video (any self respecting startup knows they need one of those!)
  • They were getting regular hits to their site
  • There were people getting in touch asking for help through the site
They realised that it was an established platform to reach out from, didn't want all that hard work to go to waste and were willing to offer their time for free!

So now Manchester Parent Carer Network is up and running again. It may be only a small pool of volunteers working on it at the moment, but they are passionate about what they are doing and are taking on a big job considering that they already have a lot of responsibilities! Check out their video below:
