Manchester Deaf Centre new resource about healthy sexual relationships to challenge health inequality in young deaf people

Manchester Deaf Centre's young people have this year worked closely with BROOK sexual health charity, Inspire Safer Futures and Deaf Health Champions to develop an accessible resource for other deaf young people.

Typically deaf young people, due to communication and language barriers are unable to fully access health services, often miss out on vital information and as a result have poorer knowledge of health and therefore poorer quality of health. Part of this project aims to challenge these inequalities, for both their own group of peers and the wider community of Deaf young people.
