I cant really describe how cool this project is. It lights up the small child in me that used to love exploring old and abandoned areas of my home town. In fact on a much smaller scale, this is a flash back to younger times for me.
Where I grew up there was a vast (I was quite small at the time) fenced off area, that went right through the town and used to be a part of the Great Central Railway. This was 'wild', and also as we weren't supposed to be there, a great draw to me and my mates. We would spend whole summers plotting out paths, following ancient trails and discovering hidden worlds as well a catching a LOT of slow worms to scare my mum with!
These artists have done all of this (with the exception of catching slow worms to scare their mums) but on a fully grown up scale. The areas that they explored are so much larger they also had to build a means of transport that could travel both on the disused railways and on the paths left by the looters who stole the railways.
