Workshops

Started doing basic graphic design workshops at arcSpace Manchester last Wednesday and unfortunately there weren't a lot of takers..... but of the four that got involved there were three this week and they seem to be really into it!
Last week we went over basic ideas generation, coming up with ideas for a poster from a single word. This went quite well with their individual personalities showing through, which I loved.! This week we decided to start a project, to try and get them looking at what they already know and using it to come up with their own unique designs. Using famous books I set the task of designing their own book covers. I'm hoping that this will get them coming up with cool images and it also gives me a way of crow barring some typography workshops in!! See what happens as it happens HERE!!!
